Someone needs to get an education

BULLY BOY PRESS  CEDRIC'S BIG MIX  -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

IT CAN BE EASY SOMETIMES TO FORGET THAT HAGTRESS ALYSSA MILANO NEVER GOT A REAL EDUCATION.  SHE DIDN'T GO TO A REAL SCHOOL AND WAS TOO DUMB TO GO TO COLLEGE.

BUT JUST WHEN YOU ALMOST FORGET THAT, THE DRIED UP HAS-BEEN TWEETS SOMETHING LIKE THIS.

If were , I’d seriously be considering a run.

YES, SHE IS THAT STUPID.

JEB IS THE REASON THAT BULLY BOY BUSH MADE IT INTO THE WHITE HOUSE AND NOT AL GORE.  AS ANI DIFRANCO NOTED IN "SELF-EVIDENT," "JEB SAID HE WOULD DELIVER FLORIDA AND, BOY, DID HE EVER."

ALYSSA'S DEEPLY STUPID.  SHE SHOULD STOP TWEETING AND TRY GETTING AN EDUCATION INSTEAD.

If you ever doubt what a failure the government of Iraq is, look no further than Mosul.  Two years after 'liberation' and Mosul remains in ruins.

And ISIS remains in Iraq so no victory there either.  Yesterday, AFP reported, "Iraq’s military announced a new operation Sunday in an attempt to secure the vast western desert leading to the Syrian border, amid fears jihadist sleeper cells were using the area to regroup.  The operation, dubbed 'Will of Victory,' began early Sunday morning and would push to clear the remote territory between the provinces of Salahaddin, Nineveh and Anbar, a statement by the military said."

Iraq launches ‘Will of Victory’ operation against ISIS sleeper cell

RUDAW notes:

Iraqi Prime Minster Adil Abdul-Mahdi also released an official statement  on Sunday praising the role of the Iraqi army in the fight against ISIS.

“Today we announce the [Will of Victory] operation to defeat ISIS sleeper cells in Iraq as we have always done, our Iraqi army heroes will come back victorious for sure and add more victories to their record that will be written in golden words. I wish you all the success and prayers of all Iraqis are with you.” Abdul-Mahdi said, according to a statement published by the Security Media Cell.

On May 29, the UK Ambassador to Iraq John Wilks released a short video statement urging the Iraqi government to act against the frequent attacks launched by ISIS remnants and sleeper cells in remote and disputed areas of Iraq.

They didn't vanquish ISIS, they didn't repair Mosul.  What success has the Iraqi government had?

Alyssa's disgusting habit of picking her nose

BULLY BOY PRESS CEDRIC'S BIG MIX  -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

HAGTRESS ALYSSA MILANO HAS STARTED A PODCAST IN HER LATEST ATTEMPT TO BE RELEVANT LONG AFTER HER CAREER ENDED.

REACHED FOR COMMENT, THE HAGTRESS INSISTED TO THESE REPORTERS, "I WAS A CHILD STAR!"

NO, SHE WASN'T.

VALERIE BERTINELLI WAS A CHILD STAR.  AT 15, SHE SHOT TO FAME AS ONE OF THE THREE FEMALE STARS OF 'ONE DAY AT A TIME.'

BY CONTRAST, THE THREE STARS OF 'WHO'S THE BOSS' WERE JUDITH LIGHT, TONY DANZA AND KATHERINE HELMOND
.
ALYSSA WAS A CHILD ACTRESS, NOT A CHILD STAR.  SHE WAS THIRD BANANA, SHE DID NOT CARRY THE SHOW OR HELP TO CARRY IT.

PRESENTED WITH THIS LOGIC, ALYSSA INSISTED, "I DON'T UNDERSTAND.  REMEMBER I WENT TO SCHOOL ON THE SET OF 'WHO'S THE BOSS.'  I WASN'T EDUCATED AS YOU CAN TELL WHENEVER I SPEAK.  I'M REALLY STUPID.  BUT, HEY, DID YOU LIKE THE VIDEO OF ME PICKING MY NOSE?"

FROM THE TCI WIRE:

20 of the 25 candidates seeking the Democratic Party's presidential nomination have participated in Wednesday and Thursday's debates: US House Rep and Iraq War veteran Tulsi Gabbard, former US House Rep Beto O'Rourke, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Amy Klobuchar, Senator Cory Booker, US House Rep Tim Ryan, former US House Rep John Delaney, NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, Governor Jay Inslee, former HUD Secretary Julian Castro, former US Senator and Vice President Joe Biden,  Senator Bernie Sanders, Marianne Williamson, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Senator Kamala Harris, US House Rep Eric Swalwell, Andrew Yang, Senator Michael Bennet, John Hickenlooper and South Ben Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

The clear winners?

Women.

All six women demonstrated leadership and spoke to real issues.  Three e-mails felt that 'winners and losers' were in some way lessening the debate.  Yeah, I read the headlines on some of that garbage passed off as 'critiques.'  For those in the press who've apparently suffered head injuries, let's be really clear: A 'debate' that limits the participants to one minute responses and possibly a 30 second follow up is never going to be a debate.  It's speed dating at best.

All you're going to be able to do with that format is determine whether or not the person appears ready for the White House.

All the women -- Tulsi, Elizabeth, Marianne, Kisten, Amy and Kamala -- passed that test.

Now each one has their own issues and agenda and you may or may not support those.  But in terms of showing presidential merit, all women succeeded.

Why didn't the men?

There were so many failures and they were the men.  With six women participating, that left fourteen men.  There were over twice as many men as women on the stage both nights.  But the bulk of the men were embarrassments.  They didn't just come off poorly, they were embarrassments.

Is Tim Ryan really qualified to be president of the United States if he doesn't know who attacked on 9/11?  Is Tim Ryan really qualified if he doesn't know who al Qaeda is?

That's the sort of mistake that should end a campaign immediately.

Women didn't make that mistake on the stage -- in fact, it was Tulsi who corrected Tim and corrected the record.

Tim Ryan's not the only guy that was an embarrassment.

Enter Joe Biden.

Look, Donald Trump has put us in a horrible situation. We do have enormous income inequality and one thing I agree honestly can make massive cuts in the $1.6 trillion in tax loopholes out there and I would be going about eliminating Donald Trump’s tax cuts for the wealthy.

He declared that last night.  He declared that in response to Bernie's

We have a new vision for America and at a time when we have three people in this country owning more wealth than the bottom half of America, while 500,000 people are sleeping out on the streets today we think it is time for change, real change.

(By the way, using NYT transcript.)

Donald Trump put us in that situation?

Most of the transfer took place in the eight years Joe Biden served as vice president.

Were this really a debate, the moderators (if they weren't whores) would have pressed him on that.  They didn't.  On those rare times when he was pressed, it was usually by Eric Swalwell -- although Kamala had her own moment with Joe where enough was enough and she wasn't going to take his spin on immigration.

Even Alyssa Milano doesn't like Alyssa Milano

BULLY BOY PRESS CEDRIC'S BIG MIX  -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

THE FUR CONTINUES TO FLY BETWEEN HAGTRESS ALYSSA MILANO AND HER FORMER BESTY MICHAEL AVENATTI.

REACHED FOR COMMENT BY THESE REPORTERS, ALYSSA FIRST SPENT 30 MINUTES WHINING ABOUT A RECENT CRITIQUE THAT POINTED OUT SHE REALLY COULDN'T ACT.  THROUGHOUT THE 30 MINUTES, ALYSSA WOULD INSIST, "I'M SO UPSET, I'M CRYING!''  THEN SHE SAY, "WAIT! WAIT! GIVE ME A MINUTE.  OKAY, I CAN'T WORK UP THE TEARS JUST YET. . . ."

AFTER 30 MINUTES OF BEING UNABLE TO CRY OR EVEN ACT SEMI-SAD, ALYSSA GAVE IT UP AND INSISTED THE PROBLEM WAS ALL MICHAEL AVENATTI'S.

"LOOK AT ME!"  SHE YELLED.  "NO ONE WANTS TO BE MY FRIEND.  NOT SHANNEN DOHERTY, NOT ROSE MCGOWAN, NOT HEATHER LOCKLEAR, NOT DANNY PINTAURO, NOT JES MACALLAN, NOT YUNJIN KIM, NOT ROCHELLE AYTES, NOT DAVID CHARVET, NOT JAMIE PRESSLY, NOT KIRSTEN DAVIS.  TO KNOW ME IS TO HATE ME!  ARE YOU REALLY SURPRISED THAT I CAN'T MAKE FRIENDS?"

FROM THE TCI WIRE:

Isaiah's THE WORLD TODAY JUST NUTS "Bad Biden" went up on Sunday.

bad biden

The press appears to misunderstand the event.  So does Bob Somerby.  Joe's latest moment in the negative spotlight is about people seeing him as too close to segregationists because, let's be honest, Joe can't stop boasting about how closely he worked with segregationists.  It's not as though the press was pursuing this topic and it's not as though his campaign hadn't told Joe to stop talking about it.

For Bob Somerby, for example, it has nothing to do with Biden's response to the flair up, it's all about -- you know this is coming -- Al Gore.  Yes, gather round kiddies, as Bob pulls out the big book one more time to tell us that, in the beginning, God created Al and Gore.

Starting in 1987, Phoebe Snow was telling you it's a different world than where you come from -- later Aretha Franklin would sing the same message and still later Terrence Forsythe would join with Boys II Men to make the same point -- somehow it all escaped Bob Somerby.

Bully Boy Bush and company thought they grasped the change.  They were under the impression that reality was what they said it was.  It's the same belief that Joe Biden holds on to.

He doesn't have to apologize when women are bothered by his treatment of them.  He doesn't have to apologize when people of color are bothered by his repeated efforts to glorify his own work with segregationists.

For Joe, any event is what he says it is.

It's called entitlement and, yes, it's called White privilege and Joe's operated under it his entire life.

And in the 20th century, you pretty much could do that and get away with it.

In this century?

Not really.

In fact, when this website started, we had comments.  There's a point, bear with me.  My attitude is always: I've had my say, have your say.  If a journalist wanted to respond here, it's posted as they've written it and that's really that.

But we closed off the comments and did so early on.

Keesha e-mailed shortly after this site started and said she'd prefer it not have the option to comment.  I was confused by the request and we exchanged e-mails on the topic.  She was a women of the left, a person of color and she was tired of not going to websites that were Democratic or left because she'd been ripped apart or someone else had.

You saw that, by the way, take place again last week but not at a website.

Keesha felt (and I agree with her) that she was welcome at this or that site as long as her Blackness or her womanhood didn't conflict with whatever DNC message was currently being sold.  If she raised issues of the way certain policies effected people of color, she would be told -- in very crude terms -- to not talk about it.

When Joe Biden's issue with women first got serious attention, along comes Alyssa Milano telling the world it didn't matter and Joe was friendly with her and blah blah blah.

Last week, along came many people insisting that outrage felt by some people of color over Joe's remarks did not matter.

It's the same thing that was gong on at the various big sites of the early '00s.  They fell from grace for a reason.  They're whores.  That's all they are.  In 2008, they purged Hillary supporters and told the world Hillary was racist, was hoping Barack would be assassinated, was this and was that.  Eight years later, they told their audience to vote for her -- but never explained how she had changed.

Kos-Kos has no ethics.  He just wants to make money off you.  So when the DNC, says X, he repeats X.  He's like a Stalinist in that way.

But the left isn't the left he once thought he could control.  Women of all races and men of color have rejected the top-down control that these people thought they could impose.

And what the press and Bob Somerby are missing is that Joe doesn't get to impose upon others.  In fact, it's Joe that needs them, not the other way around.  Joe Biden holds no public office currently.  He wants to be president but, at present, he's just another former politician.

He needs voters, he needs support.  And telling people that what has upset or bothered them doesn't matter?  That's really not the way to garner support.

Joe's running a play it safe campaign.  He thinks that will work in the primaries.  And, with so much of the press propping him up, it may work -- in the primaries.

But when it's head to head time with Donald Trump in the general election, Donald's not going to back down.  As some idiotic Kos-Kos hisses, "We need to get along!," Donald Trump's not going to say, "Oh, okay, then I won't emphasize this stupid thing that Joe just said."

As history demonstrates, over and over, Joe Biden always says some stupid thing.

His supporters and enablers last week did him no good.  Many people were outraged by his statements.  Bob can quibble over what the wording was.  US House Rep Tulsi can say his rivals are making political hay out of the situation.  None of that matters.

What matters is that people had a serious response to this and they were ignored.  The candidate dismissed them and so much of the opinion shaping public did.  (Which, pay attention, is how you lose the ability to shape opinion.)

Joe Biden already suffered from an enthusiasm gap.  Everything that took place last week only ensured that the enthusiasm gap grew.

The message that's shaping up from Campaign Biden is that Joe's not Donald Trump.

Got it.

And We The People got that message in 2016 when Hillary campaigned on not being Donald Trump as well.

The first day of 2016, we looked back at the previous year with "2015: The Year of the Ass."  And that piece concluded with:

2015 will lead into 2016.  So is it any surprise that, as the year ends, it appears very likely that the two major party candidates who'll be competing next year will be Hillary and Donald Trump?

What else, honestly, what else could The Year of the Ass produce but a match off between each major party's biggest ass?

That 2020 will offer an ass on the GOP side is a given.  That it will do the same on the Democratic Party side?  It doesn't have to go that way.

But if Biden gets the nomination or if Joe doesn't change real quick, that's what it will be.

Forget everything else from last week except for Joe Biden demanding an apology from Senator Cory Booker.

Do you not grasp how insulting that is?

Sorry, Kos-Kos-ers, this isn't 1992.  Joe's Sista Souljah moment is not going to play his way.  In 2019, we all saw an African-American object, in very nice terms, to the glorification of segregationists and instead of acknowledging that some could find the remarks objectionable, Joe -- an elderly, White man with a lot of money and a lot of power -- demanded that Cory Booker apologize.

This is not how you build a solid base of support.  It would work in 1992 but that's 27 years ago.  (Check my math, always.)

Alyssa Milano's new career as a pedophile praiser!

BULLY BOY PRESS &  CEDRIC'S BIG MIX  -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

HAGTRESS ALYSSA MILANO HAS FOUND A NEW HOBBY IN HER OLD AGE -- WORSHIPPING PEDOPHILES.

  1.   Retweeted

AS ALYSSA DAILY DEMONSTRATES THERE IS LITTLE TO NO CONNECTION BETWEEN THINKING AND TWEETING.

THE ELDERLY CELEBRITY RE-TWETTED AN ARTICLE PRAISING FRIEDRICH WILHELM VON STEUBEN.  APPARENTLY SHE'S A-OKAY WITH A MAN WHO CAME TO AMERICA ONLY BECAUSE HE WAS FLEEING EUROPE TO AVOID CRIMINAL CHARGES OF ABUSING YOUNG BOYS.

REACHED FOR COMMENT BY THESE REPORTERS, ALYSSA ATTEMPTED TO BLAME HER HORRENDOUS ERROR ON CELIBACY -- "YOU KNOW I AM IN THE MIDST OF AN ONGOING SEX STRIKE."

FROM THE TCI WIRE:

In the United States, there are 24 candidates vying for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination.  Of those 24, 20 have met the arbitrary rules of the DNC that will allow them to be on stage for the first debates.  Remember, democracy requires restrictions -- per the DNC. The debates will take place in Miami over two nights -- June 26th and June 27th.  Today, NBC will stage -- stage probably being the key term -- a drawing and the drawing will determine whether you take the stage on the 26th or the 27th.

 Who made the cut?

REUTERS has a photo of all 24 and, from their caption, here are the 20 who made it:

U.S. Senators Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, Amy Klobuchar, Kirsten Gillibrand and Michael Bennet; Former Texas congressman Beto O'Rourke, U.S. Representatives Tulsi Gabbard, John Delaney, Eric Swalwell, Tim Ryan, former HUD Secretary Julian Castro and former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden. Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Former Gov. John Hickenlooper, Gov. Jay Inslee, Andrew Yang, Marianne Williamson,  and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

And had I not been so impatient, I would have noticed that REUTERS gave a list of the 20 later in their piece.

Later?

It is news that four didn't make it.  But the bigger news would be the 20 who did.  I'm not a sports buff but when they have their draft picks, isn't the news who gets picked?  When you have a spelling bee, you don't open with who didn't win.  So I'm confused as to why you would bury the 20 and open with the four.

Here's another buried lede: Every woman, all six, running for the nomination qualified for the debates.  That's historic.  But, hey, media, look the other way yet again.

Hopefully, if you're vested in the race, you saw your personal choice or choices in the list above.  Here's the four who did not make the cut:  US House Rep and Iraq War veteran Seth Moulton, former US Senator Mike Gravel, the Governor of Montana Steve Bullock and, from Florida, Mayor Wayne Messam.

Some outlets insist that this is the end of the road for those four.  That doesn't have to be the case.  Already, Bullock is speaking out against the decision process.  When he does that, he's speaking to anyone and everyone who's ever been cheated out of something for arbitrary reasons -- actually a large pool of people -- and he's speaking for his supporters and the supporters of the other three left out.  He could gain some traction that way.  Seth started his campaign very late and he's often spoken of how that might mean he doesn't qualify for the first debates.  Point being, he could qualify for later ones if he stays in the race.  Mike Gravel has a lively campaign that could overcome this and use it to fuel further actions.  Wayne Messan's the only one I'd be concerned about.  He has not gained traction.  Even his Tweets have tended to underwhelm.  That said, this decision not to allow him on stage might be the fuel that forces him to go deeper and he may end up at the next debates.

The debates after June?  Just because the 20 qualified does not mean that they will qualify for the next debate.  The DNC is making rules up as it goes along.  Didn't they get in trouble for that last time?  Or are we pretending that siding with one candidate before the primaries even start is one of the DNC rules?

At any rate, 20 made the cut for the first round.
