Debbie Washerwoman feels the burn

BULLY BOY PRESS &   CEDRIC'S BIG MIX -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

HOW BAD ARE THINGS FOR DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ -- NOTED GREASY HAIRED CRIMINAL AND CONGRESS MEMBER?

JEB BUSH IS CALLING HER "INCOMPETENT."

JEB BUSH OF THE BUSH FAMILY -- A DYNASTY NOT NOTED FOR STRONG THOUGHT OR MENTAL CAPACITY.

JEB BUSH WHO LOST THE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL NOMINATION TO DONALD TRUMP IS CALLING HER "INCOMPETENT."

REFLECT ON THAT.

DEBBIE IS.

FROM THE TCI WIRE:

Do you remember, Val, that the Iraq War continues?

Valerie Plame was at war with her own agency.  The CIA is often at war with itself.  It's probably the only thing that's prevented its complete takeover of America.  Val stomped her feet and made a spectacle of herself.

For those who don't remember, she was outed by the administration of Bully Boy Bush.

For Val, the whole issue is Val.

She's never really been able to speak to Iraq, of the ongoing war, of the dead.

But damned if she couldn't hop in a convertible to pose for VANITY FAIR.

Vanity's not fair and Valerie Plame's self-obsession goes a long ways towards explaining why the United States is still in Iraq.

A book deal, Naomi Watts playing her in a movie, and Val's hungry ego has still not been satisfied.  Some day, it may be and she may get around to actually talking about Iraqis.

The Iraq War hasn't helped the people of Iraq.

Now it's even hurting the thugs in the militias.

Most infamous for their attacks on Sunnis and their publicly professed loyalty to Iran, Iraq's Shi'ite militias number a few less as a result of a US action.

XINHUA reports:

A paramilitary Hashd Shaabi unit said Tuesday the U.S. forces pounded its posts near the border with Syria and killed dozens of its militants, warning that the attack will not go without punishment.
The U.S. forces carried out "heavy bombardment on Monday morning on the posts of Sayyd al-Shuhadaa Brigades in Akashat area near the border with Syria, leaving large number of martyrs and wounded fighters," the unit said in a statement emailed to Xinhua.

It said that group "holds the U.S. forces the responsibility for the consequences of the action. We declare that it will not go without punishment."

AHLULBAYT NEWS AGENCY also notes the statement from the militia:

The “criminal forces” of the US heavily pounded the positions of Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades along the common border between Iraq and Syria which led to the martyrdom and injuring of a large number of fighters, the statement said.

“We declare that this move will not go unpunished,” the statement read.

    Who's laptop is it anyway?

BULLY BOY PRESS &   CEDRIC'S BIG MIX -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ INSISTED IN A PUBLIC HEARING THAT THE CAPITOL POLICE HAD SEIZED HER LAPTOP AND DEMANDED THAT IT BE RETURNED.

BUT NOW SHE IS INSISTING THAT THE LAPTOP IS HER I.T. GUY'S LAPTOP.

ASKED ABOUT THE DIFFERENCE IN HER STORIES, DEBBIE SNORTED AS HER EYES DARTED AROUND NERVOUSLY BEFORE ASKING, "IS LYING A SOLID DEFENSE?"

    FROM THE TCI WIRE:

ALSUMARIA reports that early this morning the security forces began cutting off the roads to Baghdad's Tahrir Square.

    Why?

They always do this when they know of a planned protest.  It's to intimidate people with the hopes that they won't participate and to make it hard for those who still want to participate to reach the square.

Haydar Majid (ALSUMARIA) reports  many came out to demonstrate today following Shi'ite cleic and movement leader Moqtada's call on Thursday to protest.  XINHUA notes:

"I wish the people are aware of what corrupt politicians are engaged with a dirty scheme to restore corruption which will not only control the people's food, but also their necks and blood. So that they would stage demonstration by millions to determine their fate," Sadr said in a statement by his office.
Sadr pointed out that the "sectarian storm," which engulfed the Iraqi people after the U.S.-led invasion in 2003, made many Iraqis to close their eyes about what the politicians and the parliament blocs were doing.

He said the politicians, who were seen as corrupts by many Iraqis, are planning to bring a new electoral commission and to approve an election law for the provincial elections that would take into account the interests of the same old large parliamentary blocs, according to the statement.

Provincial elections were due in March but Hayder refused to hold them.  It was thought they would be held in September -- thought and publicly stated.  Yet again they've been pushed back.  It's now said they'll be held in 2018.

Earlier this week, Moqtada met with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.

: Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman receives Muqtada Al-Sadr, leader of the Sadrist Movement in on Sunday

Madawi al-Rasheed (MIDDLE EAST EYE) offers:

This is not Sadr’s first visit since the 2003 American occupation. He arrived in Riyadh in 2006 at the height of the Iraqi resistance to the occupation and the Iraqi civil war. But the visit was unsuccessful then. It yielded little benefits to either side. Like other aspiring clerics turned politicians, Sadr entered Iraqi politics with his own Jaysh al-Mahdi militia that later changed its name to the Peace Brigades.
Saudi Arabia grew very frustrated over the Iranian expansion in Iraq after 2003 and found itself constantly backing losing Iraqi horses. From patronising Sunni tribal chiefs in 2005 as part of al-Tawafuq electoral list to backing the Iraqi Sunni-Shia coalitions under Iyad Allawi in 2010, Saudi efforts to find an entry into post-Saddam Iraqi politics led to further frustration amounting to hostility on several occasions.
Saudi relations with Iraq deteriorated so much during Nouri al-Maliki’s premiership with Iraq bluntly accusing Saudi Arabia of sponsoring terrorism and precipitating a sectarian war in Iraq as a result of its Wahhabi ideology and the Saudi jihadis found in Iraq. Only in 2015 did a Saudi ambassador return to Iraq after almost 25 years of absence.
Sadr’s recent visit to Jeddah is a break from past Saudi practices and strategies. Mohammed bin Salman and his Trump administration backers want to limit Iranian expansion in the Arab world without outright military confrontation with Iran or its various militia that operate in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq.

BULLY BOY PRESS &   CEDRIC'S BIG MIX -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

    MEET DEBBIE!

U.S. HOUSE REP. DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ IS STUCK IN A MESS OF HER OWN MAKING AND ALL BUT ROLLING IN IT.

INSTEAD OF AIRING THE ISSUES OUT WITH THE PUBLIC -- HER I.T. ISSUES -- SHE'S DECIDED TO BE "DEBBIE!"

SPEAKING TO THESE REPORTERS, THE CONGRESS WOMAN EXPLAINED, "I'M DEBBIE -- JUST DEBBIE!  THAT WAY I GET A FRESH START.  I GOT THE IDEA THIS MORNING WHILE GETTING DOUGHNUTS AND FINDING THAT DUNKIN' DOUGHNUTS WAS NOW JUST 'DUNKIN'' -- A FRESH START.  I WANT THAT TOO!"

    FROM THE TCI WIRE:

Yesterday afternoon, Audie Cornish (NPR's ALL THINGS CONSIDERED) spoke with Human Rights Watch's Belkis Willie:

AUDIE CORNISH, HOST:  There is a revenge campaign happening in Mosul. This started when Iraqi forces were fighting to retake the city from ISIS, and it's gone on since Iraq regained control of it. Soldiers have been rounding up and prosecuting anyone suspected to be a member of ISIS or related to one or a sympathizer of the terrorist group. In many cases, those detained are abused and executed. Human rights observers say the tactics being used by the military are war crimes.

BELKIS WILLE: I mean in terms of executions, we're seeing men being shot. We're seeing even more grotesque cases - for example, men being thrown off cliffs into the Tigris River and then being shot upon as they land. Numerous cases of really severe torture, sometimes leading to death.

Last week, Human Rights Watch noted:

An Iraqi army division trained by the United States government allegedly executed several dozen prisoners in Mosul’s Old City, Human Rights Watch said today. Two international observers detailed the summary killings of four people by the Iraqi army’s 16th Division in mid-July 2017, and saw evidence that the unit had executed many more people, including a boy.
The US government should suspend all assistance and support to the 16th Division pending Iraq’s full investigation of the allegations and appropriate prosecutions, Human Rights Watch said. Under the “Leahy Law,” the US is prohibited from providing military assistance to any unit of foreign security forces if there is credible evidence that the unit has committed gross violations of human rights and no “effective measures” are being taken to bring those responsible to justice.
“The US government should make sure it is no longer providing assistance to the Iraqi unit responsible for this spate of executions but also suspend any plans for future assistance until these atrocities have been properly investigated,” said Sarah Leah Whitson, Middle East director at Human Rights Watch. “Given the widespread abuses by Iraqi forces and the government’s abysmal record on accountability, the US should take a hard look at its involvement with Iraqi forces.”[. . .]
Under the “Leahy Law,” the US government is required to suspend assistance to the 16th Division until the Iraqi government takes three steps, which are often known as “remediation components”: impartial and thorough investigations; impartial and thorough prosecutions or administrative actions, as appropriate; and proportional sentencing or comparable administrative actions.
Despite acknowledging that Iraqi forces committed violations of the laws of war during the Mosul operation and promising to punish those responsible, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has yet to demonstrate that Iraqi authorities have held any soldiers accountable for executing, torturing, and abusing civilians or captured fighters.

    ABC NEWS covered the abuses.

The other broadcast outlets haven't really made time.

    From NPR's broadcast yesterday:

CORNISH: You've said that the persecution of ISIS suspects now could inadvertently drive more people toward extremism. Why do you think that?

WILLE: I think you really need to look at ISIS and why ISIS for so many years was able to draw in so many recruits - young, Sunni Arab men - throughout Iraq and Syria. And it comes with a history.

Since 2003, with the fall of Saddam's government and an incoming Shia government that put Shia fighters into the military and brought in Shia militia, what we saw was rampant abuse that usually took the form of torture, executions, really targeting Sunni Arab men. These were the very men that ultimately joined ISIS, saying, we're sick of this complete impunity for Iraqi armed forces. And if this battle opens the floodgates to that very abuse that pushed men to join ISIS, we're going to continue to see young men wanting to join.

IN THE MIDST OF YET ANOTHER SCANDAL, CROOKED DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ IS TRYING A NEW TACTIC: PLAYING DUMB.

ASKED ABOUT HER USE OF FOREIGNERS TO BE HER I.T. PERSONS ("I NEVER PROMISED TO HIRE AMERICANS!" DEBBIE PREVIOUSLY INSISTED), ASKED ABOUT THE OFFSHORE SERVER THAT MAY HAVE COMPROMISED NATIONAL SECURITY, ASKED ABOUT THE CHARGES OF FRAUD THAT LED TO HER I.T. GUY BEING ARRESTED THIS WEEK AS HE TRIED TO FLEE THE COUNTRY, DEBBIE DEBUTED HER NEW CHARACTER DUMB DEBBIE AND TRIED TO PORTRAY THE WHOLE THING AS A MEDIA RUN WILD.

"THEY ARE OUT OF CONTROL.  AND NOT JUST WITH ME," DUMB DEBBIE INSISTED.  "I MEAN DID YOU SEE THE THING AT PBS? 'Here’s where Reince Priebus falls on the list of shortest-serving chiefs of staff'?  THE POOR MAN HAS LOST HIS JOB!  AND NOW PBS IS MAKING FUN OF HIS HEIGHT!  IN FLORIDA, WE CALL THEM 'LITTLE PEOPLE.'  THE MEDIA HAS NO SHAME!"

    FROM THE TCI WIRE:

    Let's stay with stupidity:

Openly gay Iraq War veteran on transgender military ban: “I thought we were done with this”

Gay men and lesbians are not transgendered.

CNN can't find a transgendered person to speak with?

    That's insulting.

It's like bringing on an Anglo White person to discuss what it's like to be African-American.

Rob Smith is not qualified to speak and needs to sit his tired ass down.

It's like when the Native Americans told Jane Fonda they could speak for themselves and didn't need a savior to speak for them.

Rob Smith needs to sit his tired ass down and CNN needs to grasp that if you are covering transgender issues, you bring on guests who are transgender.

He is not an expert on being transgender.

Shame on CNN for refusing to invite a transgendered guest to the table and shame on Rob Smith who thinks he can speak on any topic.

There are many who could speak including Chelsea Manning.

so, biggest baddest most $$ military on earth cries about a few trans people 😩 but funds the F-35? 😑 sounds like cowardice 😎💕🌈

wrote about trans ban (and war against trans) in 😌 big setback 😬 but we will move forward 😎🌈💕

Shame on anyone taking a seat at the table on this issue from a transgendered person.  It's a bit like the way Gloria Steinem derailed feminism by refusing to step aside (she had no qualms about knocking Betty Friedan out of the way, did she?).

Even in the so-called age of diversity, seats at the table are hard to come by.  If you're taking up someone else's seat, you need to step back.

REACHED FOR COMMENT, SOCIAL MENACE AND CLOSET CASE DONNA BRAZILE INSISTED, "IT WAS RUSSIA!  THEY HAVE HACKED MY VAGINA!"

    FROM THE TCI WIRE:

The Iraq War was built and based on lies.

And yet so many idiots step forward today convinced they can re-write history.

Take this hysterical opponent of Donald Trump's:

The CIA NEVER said there were WMD in Iraq, that was the Whitehouse who LIED, Bush lied. So Trumps lying 2 times. We know its Russia!!!

    Never?

    Wow.

Bush turned to Tenet. “I’ve been told all this intelligence about having WMD and this is the best we’ve got?”
From the end of one of the couches in the Oval Office, Tenet rose up, threw his arms in the air. “It’s a slam dunk case!” the DCI said.
Bush pressed, “George, how confident are you?”
Tenet, a basketball fan who attended as many home games of his alma mater Georgetown as possible, leaned forward and threw his arms up again. “Don’t worry, it’s a slam dunk!”

That's from Bob Woodward's PLAN OF ATTACK.

    Who was Tenet?

    Al Kamen (WASHINGTON POST):

Former CIA director George Tenet will likely never live down having called the intelligence on Saddam Hussein’s WMD a “slam dunk.”
But former CIA deputy director Mike Morell, in his book, “The Great War of Our Time,” defends Tenet.
“When we wrote pieces for the president, the analysts wrote with authority on the [weapons of mass destruction] issue,” Morell writes. “This is why I personally never found fault with George Tenet’s alleged “slam dunk” comment.”

“The way the [intelligence] analysts talked and wrote about their judgments,” Morell adds, “would have led anyone to think it was a slam dunk— that is, that Saddam definitely had active WMD programs. No one ever said to me, [agency analyst Jami] Miscik, [ex-director John] McLaughlin, Tenet, [Condoleezza] Rice, or the president, ‘You know, there is a chance he might not have them.’ Such a statement would have gotten everyone’s attention,”  Morell writes.

    From 60 MINUTES:

Still, at CIA headquarters, Tenet's team was about to make a historic blunder of its own. The CIA produced its evaluation of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction in a secret report called a "National Intelligence Estimate."
"The first key judgment in the national intelligence estimate says, quote, 'Baghdad has chemical and biological weapons.' Period," Pelley says.
    "High confidence judgment," Tenet replies.
How could he make such a bold statement? Says Tenet, "We believed he had chemical and biological weapons."
"But there was no hard evidence," Pelley remarks.
"No, no. There was lots of data. There's lots of technical data," Tenet says. "So you put all of this together, it's not evidence in the court of law. Remember, when you write an estimate, when you estimate, you're writing what you don't know. You might win a civil case. Huh? You're not gonna win a criminal case, in terms of evidence."
"We are going to war. Tens of thousands of people are going to be killed. And you're telling me you had evidence to prove a civil case, not a criminal case?" Pelley asks,
"Well, as you know, hindsight is perfect. The public face on this what we wrote on weapons of mass destruction and for professionals, who pride themselves on being right, this is a very painful experience for us," Tenet acknowledges.

Now what did the Tweet say again?  "FACT, The CIA NEVER said there were WMD in Iraq, that was thee Whitehouse who LIED, Bush lied."

Bully Boy Bush is a liar -- and a War Criminal.  That does not change the fact that Tenet and Morell -- top two at the CIA -- in their own words say and said that Iraq had WMD.

I'm sorry that you're so shrill and hysterical but that does not give you the right to re-write history.

I also have to wonder about his followers.

No one gave him a heads up?
