Hillary's Christmas Greeting

BULLY BOY PRESS &  CEDRIC'S BIG MIX -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

U.S. VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN TOLD THE LOS ANGELES TIMES THAT IT WAS WATCHING AN OCTOBER DONALD TRUMP RALLY THAT CLUED HIM IN ON THE FACT THAT CRANKY CLINTON WAS IN TROUBLE.

"SON OF A GUN.  WE MAY LOOSE THIS ELECTION,"  JOE SHARED. "THEY'RE ALL THE PEOPLE I GREW UP WITH.  THEY'RE THEIR KIDS.  AND THEY'RE NOT RACIST.  THEY'RE NOT SEXIST.  BUT WE DIDN'T TALK TO THEM."

IN RESPONSE CRANKY CLINTON SNARLED, "I NEVER LIKED JOE!  I WILL KILL HIM, SKIN HIM ALIVE AND THEN SKULL F**K HIS HEAD.  OH, AND, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!"

FROM THE TCI WIRE:

The Iraq War was illegal.  It was based on lies.  It was supported by Bully Boy Bush, Hillary Clinton, Dick Cheney, John Kerry, Harry Reid, the US media and so many more.

Iraq did not have Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Then the post-justifcations became (a) Saddam Hussein (ruler of Iraq) was a 'bad man' and (b) democracy will bloom in Iraq.

That really hasn't happened.

Former Iraqi MP and Shiite Scholar Ayad Jamal Al-Din: I Used to Call for Democracy, Now I Wish for a Dictator like Saddam

Transcript of the above for those with streaming issues:

There is a single Islamic rhetoric.  Sunni, Shi'ite, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Dawa Party -- all the Islamic rhetoric is the same.  It's clearest manifestation is that of ISIS.  With ISIS, it is unsweetened, unvarnished.  The leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood an the Dawa Party appear with red silk neckties, talk their way around it, fabricate a little.  But in essence, they are the same.  They are against democracy and against human rights. Someone who tells you that there is an Islamic party that believes in human rights is either a liar or an ignoramus.  No Islamic party believes in human rights.  Human rights mean that an atheist and a polytheist are equal to sayyid Al-Sistani and the Sunni source of authority and they have the same rights and the same duties.  This is not just our problem.  It is the problem of the entire region and of the Islamic world: You can either have a dictatorship with security or a democracy with disintegration.  Saddam was a dictator and the country had all the security of a grave. The minute Saddam was gone, they all wanted to take his place.  We now have 20 Shi'ite Saddams, 30 Sunni Saddams, and 40 Kurdish ones.  The country has disintegrated.  It's gone.  We want democracy with security, freedom with security, not with anarchy, militias, slaughter, killing, corruption, and the plundering of the budget.  The Arab countries that have security and stability are all ruled by a dictator.  Let me tell you, I used to preach for democracy, but after witnessing all the catastrophes I have witnessed, I wish we would get a dictator like Saddam.  At least he would protect people's lives.  Saddam was a killer, but it was just him.  Now we have 10,000 Saddams doing the killing.

Let's drop back to March 2, 2010 for context on Ayad Jamal Aldin:

KPCC offers another report from Quil Lawrence which includes:

The race even includes a prominent cleric running with his own strictly secular party. Ayad Jamal al-Din studied at the world's most famous Shiite religious schools in Najaf and the Iranian city of Qom. The black turban he wears indicates that his family descends directly from the Prophet Muhammad. But Jamal al-Din says this doesn't mean he wants an Islamic state.
Iran and the theocracy there have hijacked the Shiite turban, he says, adding that he believes the vast majority -- even among clerics -- thinks that Iranian-style government has been a failure. What people in Iraq want is very simple, he says.
"The Iraqi on the street wants security and services. [He] does not think of a secular or religious government, just services and security," Jamal al-Din says.

Ayad Jamal Aldin is the leader of the Ahrar Party and their most recent press release was:

At the start of a week that has been dominated by news of the continuing and expanding 'de-Baathification' programme, Ahrar 374 Leader Ayad Jamal Aldin noted that the issue continues to distract voters' attention from the Maliki government's failure to deliver on jobs, public services and security. He urged voters to send the government a message and participate in Sunday's election.

De-Baathification is intensifying. Over the past five days, professors at the University of Karbala and Iraq's Southern Oil Company have been targeted. The level of fear-mongering has reached such a fever pitch that large numbers of highly competent professionals that Iraq desperately needs to run government and industry, are afraid for their lives and livelihoods. Just yesterday, it emerged that that violence had surged by 80 percent last month, when compared to January.
Ayad Jamal Aldin - leader of Ahrar 374 - said today, "It is clear what is happening here; the government is attempting to bully the people away from the ballot box. We should not accept it. Where we see these bullying tactics, we must see them for what they really are: an attempt to divert the Iraqi people's focus from the government's chronic failure to deliver jobs, running water and real security."
"The only answer can be to stand up to bullies. And this week, we have the best possible response to them - to take part in this election and vote for change."

About Ayad Jamal Aldin:
Ayad Jamal Aldin is a cleric, best known for his consistent campaigning for a new, secular Iraq. He first rose to prominence at the Nasiriyah conference in March 2003, shortly before the fall of Saddam, where he called for a state free of religion, the turban and other theological symbols. In 2005, he was elected as one of the 25 MPs on the Iraqi National List, but withdrew in 2009 after becoming disenchanted with Iyad Allawi's overtures to Iran. He wants complete independence from Iranian interference in Iraq. He now leads the Ahrar party for the 2010 election to the Council of Representatives, to clean up corruption and create a strong, secure and liberated Iraq for the future.

So that's background on the person speaking.

He did believe in democracy and that it was possible in Iraq.

He no longer does.

The 2010 elections saw him split from Iraqiya.  Iraqiya won those elections.  Ayad Allwi should have been prime minister.  But Nouri al-Maliki refused to step down.  For eight months plus he refused to step down.  Instead of sticking with the Iraqi voters, US President Barack Obama overthrew the results with The Erbil Agreement (legal contract giving Nouri a second term).

It's hilarious to watch Hillary's Temple Prostitutes insist -- with no evidence at all -- that Russia 'hacked' the US presidential election.  It's also a grave hypocrisy because Barack and Secretary of State Hillary tossed aside the Iraqi people's vote in 2010.

So, nearly 14 years after the illegal war began, there are no WMDs, there is no democracy and the war continues.

Tell Bill, Hillary ain't going down

BULLY BOY PRESS &  CEDRIC'S BIG MIX -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

CRANKY CLINTON BLEEDS SUPPORTERS.  SHE SWEARS IT DOESN'T MATTER BECAUSE SHE IS NOW PRESIDENT OF THE WILDERNESS.

SHE ALSO SAYS SHE WOULD BE IN THE WHITE HOUSE IN JANUARY WERE IT NOT FOR FADED CELEBRITY IN CHIEF BARRY O.

BUT EVEN THAT'S OKAY, SHE SWEARS, BECAUSE IN 2020, SHE WILL BE VOTED PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

"THE WHOLE WORLD," CRANKY SAID PAUSING FOR EFFECT, "KNOWS IT'S OWED TO ME.  PIZZAGATE! PIZZAGATE! EXTRA CHEESY!"

FROM THE TCI WIRE:

Let's start with fake news.

Liars across America are concerned with 'fake news.'

The Shrill Hillary contingent will always lie so let's not even factor them in.

But the ones who consider themselves journalists?

Let's pretend they have ethics for a moment and can recognize their own hypocrisy.

Hoshyar Zebari is no longer the Finance Minister of Iraq.  Since 2006, he's been the Foreign Minister of Iraq and/or the Women's Minister, etc.

Now he is not in the Cabinet.

Unfortunately lost our appeal to Iraqi Federal Court 6 by 3 votes. Now I am a private citizen after 13 years working for the new Iraq

He Tweeted that yesterday and we noted it yesterday.

Why are we bringing it up again?

Other than Nouri al-Maliki (prime minister from 2006 to 2014), no Iraqi politician got more US press attention than Zebari.  And he visited the US more than any other Iraqi politician.

Newspapers and networks and magazines in the US treated him as a sage, a fount of wisdom.

And yet where are the stories about him today?

He was sacked in September, yes.

But other than UPI, no US outlet covered that.

THE FINANCIAL TIMES OF LONDON, for example, is not a US outlet -- nor is REUTERS or AFP or RUDAW, to cite but a few that did cover the story.

He was fired in September and you could give various US news outlets a break by saying, "Oh, it's Iraq, things change often.  Zebari says he's appealing so they're just waiting for the verdict on his appeal."

And that might have been true.

If Zebari had won his appeal, the US press might have suddenly covered the story yesterday.

But they've ignored it.

Why was he removed from office?

Corruption is the reason the Parliament gave.  (Zebari has maintained he was removed as part of a plot by Nouri al-Maliki to discredit Hayder al-Abadi's government and stage a coup that would allow Nouri to become prime minister yet again.)

Supposedly, corruption is a topic the US press is interested in.

They certainly sang hoseanas for Hayder when he announced he was addressing corruption and for Nouri when he, years earlier, announced he would end corruption in less than 200 days.

Those were big stories in the US press.

But now their hero Zebari has been removed from office due to charges of corruption.

And they're silent.

Fake news?

Try their ignoring the ugly stories/truths about the man they spent years propping up and promoting.

I don't think you can get any more fake than that.

As usual, it's the corporate media in the US that traffics in fake news.

Paul Krugman loves a pj party

BULLY BOY PRESS &  CEDRIC'S BIG MIX -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

MEDIA HACK AND JUDITH MILLER'S OVERNIGHT P.J. PARTY BUDDY PAUL KRUGMAN TOOK TIME TODAY TO EXPLAIN TO THESE REPORTERS WHY HE BELIEVES THAT RUSSIA HACKED THE ELECTION.

"BECAUSE THEY WANTED DONALD TRUMP TO WIN," HE REPLIED.

NO, WE ASKED, WHY DOES HE BELIEVE THAT A HACK OCCURRED AND THAT THE RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT IS RESPONSIBLE.

"BECAUSE PEOPLE WHISPER THAT'S TRUE.  AND LIKE IN HIGH SCHOOL, I AVOIDED GYM CLASS BECAUSE I WAS -- WELL -- ME -- AND SO LIKE ONE TIME THIS GYM TEACHER WHO WAS BIG AND BURLY AND HAIRY AND WHO I WAS PERVERSELY ATTRACTED TO FORCED ME TO SUIT UP AND PARTICIPATE AND WHEN I DID I HAD TO PUT ON A JOCK AND EVERYONE SAW WHAT MY MOTHER CALLED MY TEENY WEENY BEANIE KRUGMAN AND IT GOT OUT ALL OVER THE SCHOOL THAT MY PENIS WAS ONLY 1/2 INCH WHEN HARD AND SO I KNOW WHISPERS ARE ALWAYS TRUE."

BUT, WE ASKED, DOES HE HAVE ANY PROOF?

"PROOF?  WHO NEEDS PROOF?"

AND WITH THAT, THE MAN WITH THE NYT COLUMN WHO NEVER SPOKE OUT AGAINST THE IRAQ WAR IN THE LONG, LONG LEAD UP TO THE START OF IT, WAS DONE AS HE RUSHED TO DECIDE BETWEEN A PINK NIGHTIE OR A BLUE NIGHTIE FOR HIS LATEST P.J. PARTY WITH JUDITH MILLER AS HE GIGGLED ABOUT HOW "BIG BILL KRISTOL'S SUPPOSED TO BE THERE.  I WONDER WHAT HE'LL WEAR?''

FROM THE TCI WIRE:

The liberation or 'liberation' of Mosul continues.

Another press briefing by the US State Dept took place yesterday and Iraq was ignored as usual while the obsession over Syria continued.

Iraq: Two Months into Mosul Operations, Over 96,800 Iraqis Displaced

  1. Iraqi Sunnis refugees استمرار العوائل السنيه العراقيه من الموصل بخطه الحشد الشيعي تحت امرة الصفوي بصمت عالمي

Iraqi Sunnis civilians fled from due war

Over 3 million people are displaced in . We're reaching hundreds of thousands with food, water & essential aid, but we want to do more.

Bill Van Auken (WSWS) notes the US government's outrage over Syria contrasted with the US-led mission in Iraq:

The hypocrisy of the US denunciations of the brutal methods employed by the Syrian government and its allies in eastern Aleppo has been underscored by the unfolding of a similarly savage siege being directed by the Pentagon against the far larger urban population of Mosul, Iraq’s second-largest city. As many as 1.5 million people still live in that metropolitan area, which the Iraqi army surrendered to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in June 2014.
With the US-backed offensive against Mosul now nearly two months old, conditions for the city’s residents are growing increasingly desperate, while the number of civilians killed continues to mount.
Scattered reports from media in the region provide a glimpse of the carnage unfolding in Mosul. Turkey’s Anadolu news agency reported that an entire family of nine was wiped out on Tuesday in a US drone missile strike against a house in Mosul’s al-Falah district. “Nine family members were killed in the attack,” an Iraqi police officer told the agency.
And The New Arab (Al-Araby Al-Jadeed) reported Thursday: “At least 40 civilians have been killed including women and children and dozens of others injured in air raids and artillery fire in the east of the Islamic State group [IS] bastion of Mosul, local and medical sources have said. The civilians were killed early on Wednesday with many of the injured still trapped under rubble...”

While similar accounts of human suffering in Aleppo have received non-stop coverage in the Western media amid official denunciations of Syria and Russia, reports of the slaughter in Mosul have been effectively blacked out.

    FROM THE TCI WIRE:

    Mohammed Tawfeeq ‏@mtawfeeqCNN
Today marks the end of second month since the #Iraqi-led coalition launched the operation to retake #Mosul from #ISIS on Oct 17,2016.

It's day 59 of the Mosul operation and the slog continues.

It's produced War Crimes, this operation.  It's killed civilians.  It's destroyed homes.  The US government has bombed hospitals (War Crime).  But they're not really able to do much more, are they?

Oh, wait, they have created something: Refugees.

The number of displaced people from has reached 110,000 civilians, mostly women and children.

CNN gathers a number of Iraqi voices in a piece by Moni Basu.  This is from the section on Bashir Mohammed Khadir who, along with his wife and their eight children, is now a refugee:

Khadir gulps his glass of syrupy tea before he launches into a tirade. He blames the 2003 invasion for creating a power vacuum in Iraq that gave rise to extremism. He says the United States abandoned Iraq in its hour of need when it withdrew its troops in 2011.
But mostly, Khadir resents the Shia-dominated government in Baghdad for playing to sectarian tensions.
"Iraq can only be one again if we remove the people in power," he says. "The government does not care about the people."
He mentions a law that bans alcohol. The parliament passed it in October, just days after the Mosul offensive launched. Khadir considers himself a Muslim, but says: "Not everyone in Iraq is a Muslim. Why should there be a ban on alcohol?"
These are the kinds of things Khadir believes will continue to stoke differences among Iraqis.
"It's impossible," he says, "for life to go back to normal, for us to live in peace."

Let's also note Sherzad Mamsari, a Jewish Iraqi:

"ISIS is not a new phenomenon. There has always been an ISIS for us," he says, referring to years of persecution of minorities in Iraq.
At one time, there was a thriving Jewish community in Iraq. The New York Times cited a 1917 Ottoman census that counted 80,000 Jews among the 220,000 residents of Baghdad.
But the community has largely been extinguished through discrimination, persecution and exodus to Israel.
Mamsani grew up in the Kurdish city of Irbil, the son of a Jewish mother and Muslim father, and recalls his own experience of being forced to study Islam in school and pray in the Muslim fashion.
He says only 10 Jews are left in Baghdad. Another 50 families are said to be living in the Kurdish areas, but Mamsani believes the real number is higher. He says many Jews practice their faith clandestinely because they are scared.

"ISIS is not a new phenomenon.  There has always been an ISIS for us."

It's a reality that many in the west do not want to admit.

U.S. officials: 75% of ISIS terrorists killed in Iraq, Syria - reports

Thing is though, they don't know how many members of the Islamic State there are -- let alone how many in states with porous borders.

Thing is, they can and do make up numbers.

    I'm sure the estimates exist.

    They always do.

And they're always shaped, as they move up the chain to the White House to convince whichever president is in the White House at that time that things are going wonderfully.

    These aren't facts.

    These are happy thoughts collected.

And when that's all they have to offer -- 59 days in -- then their mission is going very poorly.
