Hillary falters at debate

BULLY BOY PRESS &   CEDRIC'S BIG MIX -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

CRANKY CLINTON ADMITS HER PERFORMANCE AT THE SUNDAY DEBATE WAS ONLY "SO-SO."

FOLLOWING THE DEBATE, A DEJECTED CRANKY MET WITH THESE REPORTERS AND EXPLAINED HER PRE-DEBATE STRATEGY WAS DESTROYED BY THE AIR CONDITIONING.

"MY PLAN," SHE EXPLAINED NARROWING HER EYES TO TINY LIZARD LIKE SLITS, "WAS TO STAND DOWN WIND OF DONALD TRUMP AND TO CHOKE HIM WITH MY SPECIALIZED SILENT BUT DEADLY FART.  IN PART, I HAD TROUBLE LEAKING ONE EARLY IN THE DEBATE -- I GUESS I DIDN'T EAT ENOUGH BEANS.  BUT AT THE HALF-WAY POINT, I MANAGED TO SQUEEZE ONE OUT.  HOWEVER, HE WAS NOT DOWN WIND OF ME AND DUE TO THE AIR CONDITIONING I FOUND MYSELF TRAPPED AMIDST MY OWN STANK ASS FART.  I NEARLY CHOKED TO DEATH."

In Iraq, demands continue for Turkish troops to leave the country.

RT adds:

Dorrian announced during a briefing in Baghdad that Turkey is operating “on its own” in Iraq, AP quoted him as saying. The coalition position is that every unit “should be here with the coordination or and with the permission of the government of Iraq,” he is also quoted as saying.

The issue arose at yesterday's Pentagon press briefing moderated by spokesperson Peter Cook.

Q:  There have been some reports coming from Iraq claiming that Colonel Dorrian called Turkish military presence in northern Iraq as evil and called Turks as invaders.

I got a statement from here saying that these are false, but I wonder about the Pentagon's general assessment -- of the Pentagon itself about Turkish armed forces presence in northern Iraq.

MR. COOK:  Again, you -- you -- my understanding is that the question about the words that were represented, that was not factually correct as to what Colonel Dorrian said.

Our views on this should be well known.  And this is something for the Turkish government and the government of Iraq to speak to.  And -- and we would urge them, those two governments, to speak to this issue and the presence of Turkish troops in Iraq.  This is something that we feel those two governments should be able to speak to most directly.

And the view of the United States has been that, of course, the sovereign territory of Iraq -- that the Iraqi government should be able to speak to foreign troops on its soil.  And that's something that -- again, this is a sovereign issue for the government of Iraq.

Q:  You -- (inaudible) -- some kind of -- by saying this is sovereign right of Iraqi government to, you know, to decide about foreign troops on its territories.

So do you imply that Turks are there without request or knowledge or consent of the Iraqi government?  Have you spoke to any of the parties about the issue?

MR. COOK:  This is -- this is an issue for the government of Turkey and the government of Iraq to speak to.  The government of Iraq can answer that question.  That's not something I can answer from this podium.  And again, we are -- the coalition of which Turkey is a member, is focused very much on -- on ridding Iraq of -- of the ISIL threat; Syria as well.

And that's -- will remain our focus and we think there's ample opportunity for the coalition to work very closely with the government of Iraq to achieve that goal.

Iraq wants Turkish troops off its soil.

They have appealed the matter to the United Nations Security Council.

Majeed Gly (RUDAW) quotes United Nations spokesperson Farhan Haq stating, "Any support to Iraq must conform to the principles of UN charter notably the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-interference. The Secretary General hopes the government of Turkey will ensure that all activities in Iraq are conducted with full consent of the government of Iraq."

That seems pretty clear.

Apparently not to officials in Turkey.

AFP quotes Turkey's Prime Minister Binali Yildrim stating, "No matter what the Iraqi government in Baghdad says, a Turkish presence will remain there to fight against [ISIS], and to avoid any forceful change of the demographic composition in the region."

REACHED FOR COMMENT BY THESE REPORTERS, A SEATED CRANKY LIFTED ONE LEG SAYING, "THIS IS MY RESPONSE TO THOSE WHO DON'T LIKE IT."

CRANKY THEN RELEASED A LOUD (AND STINKY) FART.

"THAT'S MY RESPONSE.  CALL ME PRESIDENT CRANKY! I'VE GOT THIS ALL SEWN UP!"

CRANKY CLINTON MAY STILL KEEP HER WALL STREET SPEECHES TOP SECRET BUT A TAPE HAS LEAKED OF HER SPEAKING TO BIG MONEY FUNDRAISERS WHERE SHE INSULTS BERNIE SANDERS' SUPPORTERS IN THE PRIMARY AS PEOPLE "STILL LIVING IN THEIR PARENT'S BASEMENTS."

REACHED FOR COMMENT, CRANKY SNARLED TO THESE REPORTERS, "LET THEM EAT LUCKY CHARMS!  IN THEIR PAJAMAS!  THEY'RE FREAKS!  FREAKS! I AM QUEEN OF THE WORLD!"

    FROM THE TCI WIRE:

The big Iraq news for the week remains Wednesday's revelation that US President Barack Obama will be sending even more US troops into Iraq.  Larisa Epatko (PBS NEWSHOUR) notes, "The authorization followed the July announcement of a 560-troop deployment. The deployments bring the total U.S. troop level in Iraq to 5,262."

From the 'left' we have silence and more silence.  The editorial board of THE PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE weighs in:

There are some strong arguments against increasing U.S. troop involvement in Iraq at this point.  The first is that the Iraqi national army, which U.S. forces are supplying and training, continues to show itself relatively toothless on the battlefield — meaning that U.S. forces will play a prominent role in whatever assault on Mosul occurs.  Washington has yet to explain coherently why Americans should care one way or the other who holds Mosul, or Raqqa, for that matter. The argument that taking Mosul would validate continued U.S. support of the Iraqi government of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and the policy of building it a credible national army has a vaguely “dog-chasing-its-tail” quality to it.  If Mr. Abadi’s government had the general support of the Iraqi people, they would put in the field a credible national army on their own account, and his government would not need more American troops to fight its battles.

    In other news . . .

French fighter jets take off on mission against Isil in Iraq

So French war planes will do combat with Islamic State war planes!

    Oh, wait.

The Islamic State doesn't have war planes.

The US Defense Dept announced yesterday:

    Strikes in Iraq
Attack, fighter and remotely piloted aircraft, as well as rocket artillery, conducted 10 strikes in Iraq, coordinated with and in support of Iraq’s government:
-- Near Qaim, a strike destroyed an ISIL vehicle bomb-making facility.
-- Near Beiji, a strike engaged an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed a fighting position.
-- Near Haditha, a strike engaged an ISIL tactical unit.
-- Near Kisik, two strikes destroyed an ISIL fighting position and suppressed two ISIL mortar firing positions.
-- Near Mosul, four strikes engaged two ISIL tactical units and destroyed a front-end loader, a weapons cache and a vehicle.
-- Near Ramadi, a strike engaged an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed a vehicle and two trench systems.

Task force officials define a strike as one or more kinetic events that occur in roughly the same geographic location to produce a single, sometimes cumulative, effect. Therefore, officials explained, a single aircraft delivering a single weapon against a lone ISIL vehicle is one strike, but so is multiple aircraft delivering dozens of weapons against buildings, vehicles and weapon systems in a compound, for example, having the cumulative effect of making those targets harder or impossible for ISIL to use. Accordingly, officials said, they do not report the number or type of aircraft employed in a strike, the number of munitions dropped in each strike, or the number of individual munition impact points against a target. Ground-based artillery fired in counterfire or in fire support to maneuver roles is not classified as a strike.

    This is so embarrassing.

Mosul's been held since June of 2014 by a terrorist organization.

    It's still held by one.

Barack will be increasing the number of US troops in Iraq to 5262 (using PBS' THE NEWSHOUR number -- special-ops not included in that number).

Now France is joining the US in dropping bombs on Iraq.

All to end the siege of Mosul.

The Islamic State must have millions of fighters in Mosul, right?

US military says 3,000 to 4,500 ISIS fighters (Iraqi & foreign) holed up in Mosul ahead of planned offensive

F.B.I. DIRECTOR JAMES COMEY WAS ASKED BY CONGRESS ABOUT CRANKY CLINTON TELLING THE PUBLIC THAT COMEY SAID HER ANSWERS WERE "TRUTHFUL."

    HE RESPONDED, "I DID NOT."

DESPITE THIS PATTERN OF DISHONESTY, ABC NEWS 'REPORTER' MIKE LEVINE PEERS INTO CRANKY'S SOUL TODAY TO TELL US WHY SHE DID WHAT SHE DID.

NEXT UP, PSYCHIC MIKE LEVINE ANNOUNCES WHERE JIMMY HOFFA WAS BURIED.

    FROM THE TCI WIRE:

    Jed Babbin (WASHINGTON TIMES) offers:

Our Pentagon leaders are reportedly readying a request to President Obama to send another 400 or 500 U.S. troops to Iraq. They would join the 4,400 there and be tasked to help the Iraqis retake the city of Mosul from the Islamic State. (According to a Wall Street Journal report, there is an additional force of about 1,500 troops who guard the massive U.S. embassy in Baghdad, some of whom are sent on “special missions.”)
Whatever the troops’ mission, it is painfully obvious that our generals are still stuck on the nation-building strategy that we have pursued in both Iraq and Afghanistan since we invaded those countries in 2001 and 2003. It’s the same strategy that they are following now with the request for more troops to go to Iraq, and it’s just as wrong as it was in 2001.

    Baddin's against nation building.

I am as well.  You can't build a government with a military.

But let's set that aside for just a moment.

Let's imagine Hillary Clinton becomes president.

This is a War Hawk belief -- they can build nations.

    Barack's already trying.

But dropping bombs daily on Iraq does not form anything but chaos.

So should Hillary get to be president, let's hope there's some maturity in the country -- there wasn't under Barack -- and someone demands that she set goals.

Because if you're going to try nation building, you better be able to show results.

That's not "The leader we installed said . . ."

    Statements don't count.

    Intentions don't count.

    Only results count.

And if Hillary wants to do nation building, she better be held accountable.

(I have no idea if Donald Trump would try nation building.  Jill Stein and Gary Johnson would not engage in it.)

Over two years ago, Barack said he was helping Iraq.

There's still nothing to show for it.

The government's no better than it was then.

They did -- with little fanfare -- recently pass a de-Ba'athifcation law in the Parliament.

    It wasn't needed.

    L. Paul Bremer did that years ago -- it's cited as one of the biggest disasters of all actions taken after deciding to go to war on Iraq.

Barack has failed at national reconciliation in Iraq.

Why is that a surprise to anyone?

Bully Boy Bush failed at it as well.

As long as you give the (US-installed) government of Iraq what it wants, it's exile prime minister will not do a thing to foster national reconciliation.

Iraq has a very young population.

How many more exiles is the US going to be able to install as prime minister before the Iraqi people revolt?

I think it's nearing the point now.

And, as with most warning signs, everyone in the west is looking elsewhere.

BULLY BOY PRESS &   CEDRIC'S BIG MIX -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

IT'S THE HOT NEW TREND -- VOTING IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION BUT NOT VOTING FOR THE DEMOCRAT OR THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE.

SOME POLLS SHOW AS MANY AS 14% OF VOTERS SAYING THEY WILL MAKE THAT MOVE AND THE NUMBER IS GROWING.

REACHED FOR COMMENT, DONALD TRUMP TOOK A BREAK FROM RUMMAGING THROUGH DELLA REESE'S OLD WIG COLLECTION TO OFFER, "OF COURSE I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN.  I KNOW EVERYTHING.  I PREDICTED IT WOULD HAPPEN.  I SAID SO WHEN I DECLARED MY CAMPAIGN.  IN FACT, I PREDICTED IT WHEN JOHN KERRY WAS RUNNING IN 2004.  ASK SEAN HANNITY, I TOLD HIM ALL ABOUT IT.  LOOK, I'M SMARTER THAN ANYONE.  NOTHING SURPRISES ME."

CRANKY CLINTON WAS FAR LESS UPBEAT, "DAMN MILLINIELS!  DON'T BLAME ME WHEN THE POWER GRID GOES OUT AND YOU CAN'T CHARGE YOUR SONY WALK MANS AND STREAM YOUR BOBBY SHERMAN AND TONY ORLANDO!  I HOPE YOU ALL F**KING CHOKE ON YOUR GAME BOYS AND XYZ STATIONS! SPOILED ROTTEN BRATS!"

    FROM THE TCI WIRE:

    Starting with Hoshyar Zebari.

    zebari

That's Zebari in better times pictures with his good friend and colleague Hillary Clinton.  Yesterday, he was voted out as the Minister of Finance in Iraq due to corruption.

Erika Solomon's piece for THE FINANCIAL TIMES OF LONDON has a headline echoed by some other outlets "Zebari no-confidence vote puts Iraq economy at risk."

If you've paid attention to Iraq, you're going to be rolling your eyes and laughing at what whores the press can be.

Oh, the horror, Iraq has no Minister of Finance!!!!!

You'll probably be thinking, "Wasn't Haider al-Abadi trying to get a brand new cabinet?  So doesn't this ouster go along with what he's called for and what the US government has backed?"

If you've really been paying attention, though, you'll probably be thinking back to November 2010 and how Nouri al-Maliki (re-installed as Iraq's prime minister by US President Barack Obama via The Erbil Agreement) was supposed to form a Cabinet.

Then how in January of 2011, he still didn't have a Minister of Defense.

Nouri al-Maliki went his entire second term without a Minister of Defense, from 2010 to 2014.

Now how did the Iraqi military end up in such poor shape that it ran from one 2014 battle after another?  That the only time it had the will to attack was when it was attacking Iraqi civilians?

    Four years.

We pointed it out repeatedly in real time.

    Where was the press then?

Clinton takes it out on diabetics

BULLY BOY PRESS &   CEDRIC'S BIG MIX -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

CRANKY CLINTON HAS YET AGAIN SPAT ON POTENTIAL VOTERS.

TACOS AREN'T NORMALLY LOW CARB -- HENCE THE AT HOME RECIPES TO CUT THE CARBS.

CRANKY'S NOW INSISTING THAT IN A COUNTRY WITH DIABETES RATES SKYROCKETING THAT THE ANSWER TO A BETTER AMERICA IS EVEN MORE HIGH CARBS IN SOCIETY, IN FACT, A TACO TRUCK ON EVERY CORNER.

YET AGAIN, SHE PUTS PANDERING FOR VOTES AHEAD OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND PUBLIC SAFETY.

In an article posted last night at THE WASHINGTON POST, Michael Kranish attempts to explore Hillary Clinton's support of the Iraq War.  Though probably one of the best pieces on the topic in the last two years, it actually raises more questions than Kranish is aware.

For those who may be too young to remember, in October of 2002, the Congress voted to give Bully Boy Bush power to go to war.  It's an illegal war.  Remember that because we're coming back to it -- it more than anything else demolishes Hillary's 'defense' -- a point Kranish doesn't even allude to.

Hillary voted for the illegal war.  No surprise in hindsight, she's a war monger.

Kranish notes that she now has a history of pinning her vote on Bully Boy Bush.

He then notes her advisors, including her husband Bill Clinton, were also urging her to vote for the Iraq War.

But this 'mistake' is not treated as a mistake by Hillary.

Blaming others for your vote is not taking accountability.

Krainish never even touches on it -- despite the fact that in last week's NBC forum, Hillary was again blaming Bully Boy Bush for her vote.

Ava and I explored this terrain earlier this week in "TV: NBC airs abstract art"

Here's some more reality that wasn't noted about Hillary.

    She doesn't take responsibility.

She voted for the Iraq War.

She can't even be honest about that.

    I was wrong.
Almost three years ago we went into Iraq to remove what we were told -- and what many of us believed and argued -- was a threat to America. But in fact we now know that Iraq did not have weapons of mass destruction when our forces invaded Iraq in 2003. The intelligence was deeply flawed and, in some cases, manipulated to fit a political agenda.
It was a mistake to vote for this war in 2002. I take responsibility for that mistake. It has been hard to say these words because those who didn't make a mistake -- the men and women of our armed forces and their families -- have performed heroically and paid a dear price.
The world desperately needs moral leadership from America, and the foundation for moral leadership is telling the truth.

Before you say, "Good for Hillary," that's not Hillary.

That's John Edwards penning a 2005 column for THE WASHINGTON POST.

    "I was wrong."

"It was a mistake to vote for this war in 2002."

"I take responsibility for that mistake."

    And here's Hillary:

Hillary Clinton: Look, I think that the decision to go to war in Iraq was a mistake. And I have said that my voting to give President Bush that authority was, from my perspective, my mistake.

Going to war was a mistake, she insists.

But the only mistake she'll admit was giving Bully Boy "Bush that authority."

    She's not taking responsibility.

She's bring up Bully Boy Bush, she's bringing up her opponent, she's doing everything but taking responsibility.

She won't own her mistake and she clearly won't learn from it.

    That's not taking responsibility,

John Edwards, in his column quoted above, took responsibility.

Hillary tries to worm out of it by blaming everyone.

If she were your child and she'd dented the car and she started whining about how this friend or that friend --

    You'd stop her right there.

You'd tell her the issue was that she dented the car.

But with Hillary Clinton, it's always drag other people into it, refuse to take responsibility.

That's a very glaring character flaw.
