Another freakout over Russia from Rob Reiner

BULLY BOY PRESS &    CEDRIC'S BIG MIX   -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

ABC NEWS REPORTS:

Just weeks after a Soyuz booster failed and a crew was rocketed to safety the Russians are ready to return to manned flight, and Army Lt. Col. Anne McClain will be the first to sit atop that rocket since the accident.
Officials that investigated the failed October 11th launch from Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan, said they identified part of the reason for the accident that occurred two minutes into the flight, part of the first stage of the rocket had struck the second stage after separating, damaging the booster causing the first Soyuz failure in decades.

B-B-BUT WHAT WILL ROBERT MUELLER SAY!!!!

RUSSIA!

RUSSIA!!!!

THESE REPORTERS CONTACTED THE KID-FRIENDLY AND PORTLY DIRECTOR ROB REINER WHO WAS BUSY PREPPING FOR HIS UPCOMING FLOP FILM AND HE TOLD US, "THIS IS TREASON! FOR LT COL ANNE MCCLAIN TO BE ON BOARD WITH THE RUSSIANS IS TREASON!"

FROM THE TCI WIRE:

: Neighbors are saying David Ian Long was a veteran who suffered from PTSD, "I have no idea what he was doing with a gun"

He suffered with Post-Traumatic Syndrome?  But, by all means, let's give Bully Boy Bush an award for his 'work' with veterans -- you know, for killing them and wounding them.  For using them to try to distract from his War Crimes?

And let's pretend, while we're at it, that the wars themselves don't destroy the Ian Longs.  No, every veteran is not going to end up hurting people.  (Veterans with violence issues traditionally turn the violence on themselves.  Which does explain the high rates of  suicide.)  And there's no need to give rise to a stereotype.  But there's also no reason to deny that these ongoing wars effect a large number of people -- including those who serve in them.

Now it doesn't effect Bully Boy Bush.  He's still dumber than dirt.  His wallet's a lot thicker but he's still Satan incarnate and, if there's a hell, he'll get to know it quite well.

But Bully Boy Bush didn't serve in Iraq.  He sent others to serve.  He didn't serve himself.  He was too busy doing other things.  Hence the incomplete National Guard records.

Bully Boy Bush was happy enough to send men and women into war and he was happy enough to not "do body counts" (a lie, as we found out during the last week of KNIGHT RIDDER", in a Nancy Youssef report).  Now he thinks he can emerge from beneath his rock and accept an award.  The delusions of the entitled.

Shame on Joe Biden.  I love Joe but I'm appalled and this isn't something I'll forget.  If he gives out that award, I will not support him in a 2020 run.  His presenting that award shows he learned nothing from the Iraq War -- that he voted for.  He's learned nothing.  That makes him worse than Hillary.  Yes, she gave a weak ass apology but it's a hell of a lot better than what Joe Biden's about to do.

The Iraq War continues and bully Boy Bush is getting an award -- and Joe Biden's handing it to him.

Alyssa Milano remains stupid

BULLY BOY PRESS &    CEDRIC'S BIG MIX   -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

FAILED ACTRESS ALYSSA MILANO SPENT HER SAD AND PATHETIC CHILDHOOD ON SETS AND DIDN'T HAVE THE CHANCE TO GET A GOOD EDUCATION OR EVEN AN OKAY ONE.

THIS IS WHY SHE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND BASIC BIOLOGY.

History will remember the current as the party that got their balls handed to them by a President who only cares of his own self-interests.

And thank you to the for rising above the fray and keeping this country safe. You are appreciated.

THEIR BALLS?  IT TAKES A NON-FEMINIST AND WOMAN HATER LIKE ALYSSA TO USE BALLS IN THE STATEMENT ABOVE.  WOMEN DON'T HAVE BALLS, ALYSSA.

FROM THE TCI WIRE:

I can't be the only one that wishes Ben Rhodes would stay hidden under his rock.  I imagine anyone in the White House during Barack Obama's two terms as president has to wish Ben would go off the grid.  Until he does, we have . . . Tweets like this.

Iraq has enormous challenges but worth noting that it has come a long way from the Maliki-Abadi transition.

Was the Maliki-Abadi transition difficult, Ben?

How strange because, for example, some of us noted it here -- noted how difficult it was in real time only to have you thunder to the contrary. But maybe your dramatic rage was fueled by the fact that we weren't just noting how difficult that transition was (while you were insisting it was smooth sailing) but we were noting why that transition was difficult.

Because of Barack.

In **2014**, Nouri wanted a third term as prime minister.  Yes, he'd said he wouldn't seek a third term back in 2011 and 2012 but that was back when measures were being taken to vote him out of office via a no confidence vote in Parliament.  The US government, Barack's administration, spent a lot of money -- a lot of US taxpayers' money -- ensuring that vote didn't take place.

{** Corrected year, originally and wrongly stated 2016.]

Some argued -- including here at this site -- that  undermining the Constitutional effort was undermining democracy in Iraq but, by that time, Barack Obama had made it clear he didn't care if Iraq had a democracy.

Yes, Ben, the 2010 elections.

The ones Nouri lost.  Ayad Allawi's Iraqiya came in first place.  That meant he should have been given first crack at being prime minister-designate and forming a new government.  But Nouri al-Maliki refused to step down.  And that paralyzed Barack and you.  Completely surprised you both.  You never could have seen that coming.

A complete surprise . . . despite the fact that the top ranking US general in Iraq, Gen Ray Odierno, warned you of the possibility months before the election, warned you and said a plan needed to be in place for how to respond should that happen.

Caught by surprise because the administration never learned how to listen or how to anticipate any outcome other than their desired response -- yes, that was the key failing throughout Barack's two terms as president.

So elections took place in March 2010.  March 7, 2010, Iraq concluded Parliamentary elections. The Guardian's editorial board noted in August 2010, "These elections were hailed prematurely by Mr Obama as a success, but everything that has happened since has surely doused that optimism in a cold shower of reality."   Everything that had happened since?  The elections were in March.  By August, Nouri was still refusing to step down, despite losing.  The Iraqi people spoke, the US president just didn't believe their voices mattered.  So instead of the US insisting Nouri step down, they backed Nouri during his eight month refusal.  All of Iraq came to a standstill because of Nouri's tantrum.  And, in the end, US officials negotiated a contract that declared Nouri the prime minister -- The Erbil Agreement.  November 10, 2010, The Erbil Agreement is signed.  November 11, 2010, the Iraqi Parliament has their first real session in over eight months and finally declares a president, a Speaker of Parliament and Nouri as prime minister-designate -- all the things that were supposed to happen in April of 2010 but didn't.

And not only did Barack's White House negotiate that contract, they lied to everyone to get it pushed through.  This is a contract we back 100%.  Remember that lie, Ben?

To get the other political blocs to agree to allow Nouri that second term he did not win, the contract included things Nouri would do for them -- implement this part of the Constitution, create a national security post for Allawi, etc.

From the November 11, 2010 snapshot:

Martin Chulov (Guardian) reports one hiccup in the process today involved Ayad Allawi who US President Barack Obama phoned asking/pleading that he accept the deal because "his rejection of post would be a vote of no confidence". Ben Lando, Sam Dagher and Margaret Coker (Wall St. Journal) confirm the phone call via two sources and state Allawi will take the post -- newly created -- of chair of the National Council On Higher Policy: "Mr. Obama, in his phone call to Mr. Allawi on Thursday, promised to throw U.S. weight behind the process and guarantee that the council would retain meaningful and legal power, according to the two officials with knowledge of the phone call."

Promised to throw U.S. weight behind the process and guarantee that the council would retain meaningful and legal power -- hmm.

Well everyone saw what Barack's word meant: Nothing.

Nouri used the contract to get his second term and then refused to honor it.  Barack responded?

By refusing to speak to Nouri.  He made Joe Biden take all the calls from Nouri and place all the calls to Nouri.  He even refused Nouri's call two years later congratulating him on his re-election.  That's showing him, Barack!

Forever stupid, that's our Alyssa

BULLY BOY PRESS &    CEDRIC'S BIG MIX   -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

MIDDLE AGED MONSTER ALYSSA MILANO IS UP TO IT AGAIN.

Peoples wages are flat while corporate profits are booming. Anyone who believes the is making decisions based on your best interests is mistaken.

BECAUSE BILL GATES HAS YOUR BEST INTERESTS AT HEART?

TYPICAL B.S. FROM A FAILED ACTRESS WITH NO CAREER WHO IS TOO STUPID TO REALIZE JUST HOW UNEDUCATED SHE IS.

REACHED FOR COMMENT, THESE REPORTERS ASKED ALYSSA WHY SHE BELIEVED MILLIONARES OF ONE POLITICAL STRIPE WERE AWFUL AND THE ONES FROM THE OTHER WERE WONDERFUL, SHE MUMBLBED, "DUH DUH DUH I DID NOT GET MY TALKING POINTS ON THAT DUH DUH DUH I AM STUPID BUT I TWEET CONSTANTLY HOPING THAT MAKES ME LOOK SMART DUH DUH DUH IF I KEEP MY HEAD UP MY ASS LIKE THIS, I CAN SMELL MY OWN FARTS.  OH! THAT WAS A RIPE ONE!"

FROM THE TCI WIRE:

No, the Iraq War hasn't ended.

In a new opinion piece at THE BOSTON GLOBE, Linda J. Blimes wonders, "Is the US Forgetting The Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?"  And what I say to that is, "Goodness me, Blimey, I thought you were dead.  We certainly haven't heard from you -- or Joe -- in forever.  Ten long years of silence, right?"  From her piece:

Ten years ago in “The Three Trillion Dollar War,” economist Joseph E. Stiglitz and I predicted — controversially — that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan would cost far more than anyone expected. Fast forward to today. The total bill has spiraled to over $5 trillion, most of it paid for on the national “credit card.” Nearly 7,000 American troops and a similar number of contractors have given up their lives. With no political end game in sight, more than 15,000 troops remain on the ground. And yet Congress pays almost no attention to the wars — even though the cost continues to run at more than $70 billion a year.

She has to reference the ten years ago because she and Joe are not objective actors.  They fell silent for Barack Obama's two-terms because they supported his presidential campaigns and his presidency and that took priority over noting the costs of war.  Barack is gone and Donald Trump is in the White House so suddenly Linda's found her voice -- IT'S A MIRACLE!  Found her voice, please note, not when Donald Trump was referring to the the cost of war back in February.  Dropping back to the February 13th snapshot:

Let's start with the stupidity.

You really don't need to harp on everything Donald Trump Tweets or says.  But if you do and you call him out, you need to be correct.

Kyle is wrong -- no surprise, he works for blowhard Lawrence O'Donnell.

WaPo Fact Check: Trump has repeated this number at least 21 times. “It's flat wrong.” Experts say the U.S. spent about $1.8 trillion on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan from 2001-2017. (Plus, Afghanistan is not actually in the Middle East.)

I don't care what some WASHINGTON POST link says.  I'm not even going to go there.  And I'm fully aware that Kyle was in Australia for two years and apparently didn't think that a war the US was (and remains) engaged in was something he needed to follow.

"Experts"?

"Experts" say many things.  Doesn't make them right.

Kyle types, "Experts say the U.S. spent about $1.8 trillion on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan from 2001-2017."

I don't know what"experts" he's citing and really don't turn to THE WASHINGTON POST for reality on Iraq due to its history (only THE NEW YORK TIMES has a worst history).

But I do know his statement is wrong.

From March 2013, Daniel Trotta (REUTERS) reported,"The U.S. war in Iraq has cost $1.7 trillion with an additional $490 billion in benefits owed to war veterans, expenses that could grow to more than $6 trillion over the next four decades counting interest, a study released on Thursday said."

That was almost five years ago.

And that was Iraq alone.

So maybe next time, when you're going to town on him, know your facts so you don't end up looking like an idiot.

In November of 2017, THE COSTS OF WAR PROJECT estimated that by the start of 2018, the wars (post 9/11) would cost the US 5.6 trillion.  That ended up being the headline in November when it was reported on.  Now read the actual report when veterans issues are added in or just skip to Table Six where you'll find the cost is expected to be $7.9 trillion when veterans expenses and interest (the US government did not increase taxes to pay for the wars, they borrowed money to do so) are added in.

THE COSTS OF WAR PROJECT is generally considered the expert on the issue -- not THE WASHINGTON POST.  It's run by Brown University's Watson Institute.

They say $7.9 trillion.

So not only has Kyle Griffin's 'fact' check made Donald Trump look more informed, it's also raised serious issues about the intelligence level at MSNBC's THE LAST WORD.

Linda didn't speak up then because she's a partisan.  Don't mistake her for an independent voice or for someone who tells the truth.  She stays silent unless she sees a personal, political benefit.  Which is why, in October, she's writing about the costs of war when she could have spoken out in February when, remember, the press actually was paying attention to the costs.

The press was paying attention not because they gave a damn about the costs but because they wanted to mock Donald Trump.  And because the cost was being used to mock Donald Trump, Linda stayed silent.  She allowed MSNBC and others to promote the lie that the costs of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars was less than 2 billion dollars.

If there's a problem, Linda, and I agree with you that there is, part of that problem is you.  Look no further than your mirror.
