SENATOR LINDSEY GRAHAM HAS DECLARED THAT IT IS "A STAIN ON THE NATION" -- IT BEING DONALD TRUMP'S DECISION TO WITHDRAW U.S. TROOPS FROM SYRIA AND NOT THE BODY PILLOW THAT LINDSEY GRAHAM TIRES HIMSELF OUT ON EACH NIGHT.

THE STAIN ON HIS BODY PILLOW -- FROM 'NOCTURNAL EMISSIONS' -- LINDSEY EXPLAINED WAS "NIGHT CANDY" AND "VERY TASTY."

As the fake news continues, the US is establishing more bases in Iraq -- and the fake news ensures that US media ignores this reality.  XINHUA reports what THE NEW YORK TIMES, CNN, THE WASHINGTON POST, NPR, et al won't:


The U.S. forces established a new military base inside Iraq near the border with neighboring Syria in the western province of Anbar, a local newspaper reported on Wednesday.
"The U.S. troops built the military base in al-Maliha area near the town of al-Qaim, some 400 km west of the Iraqi capital Baghdad," the independent newspaper of al-Mashriq quoted the town's mayor, Ahmed al-Mahalawi, as saying.
According to the mayor, this is the second military base established in Rummanah area near al-Qaim. Another base was set up in earlier December.
"The new base is to the borderline with Syria, apparently aimed at monitoring the border to protect the U.S. forces deployed inside Syria near the Iraqi-Syrian border," al-Mahalawi added.

The newspaper also quoted Frahan al-Dulaimi, member of Anbar provincial council, as saying that the U.S. forces "did not inform the provincial authorities about the military bases."


That news seems a lot more important than Stormy Daniels or all the other b.s. topics that have taken up so-called 'news' space.  This is real, this is life and death, this is war.  Where's the coverage?


The US intends to stay in Iraq and this despite the fact that it's been one failure after another in terms of prime ministers.  A bunch of incompetents who have failed the Iraqi people.  Of course, the US government doesn't care about that.  It just wants the oil.  But these puppets the US keeps putting into power can't even get the oil and gas laws passed -- the ones the US government has been insisting on since 2004.

    We've frequently covered the use of Depleted Uranium in Iraq under Bully Boy Bush.  Let's note this from Barbara Koepel (WASHINGTON SPECTATOR) about Poppy Bush:


    The weapons were first used in 1991 during Desert Storm, when the U.S. military fired guided bombs and missiles containing depleted uranium (DU), a waste product from nuclear reactors. The Department of Defense (DOD) particularly prized them because, with dramatic density, speed, and heat, they blasted through tanks and bunkers.
    Within one or two years, grotesque birth defects spiraled—such as babies with two heads. Or missing eyes, hands, and legs. Or stomachs and brains inside out.
    Keith Baverstock, who headed the radiological section of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Center of Environment and Health in the 1990s, explained why: When uranium weapons explode, their massive blasts produce gray or black clouds of uranium oxide dust particles. These float for miles, people breathe them, and the dust lodges in their lungs. From there, they seep into the lymph system and blood, flow throughout the body, and bind to the genes and chromosomes, causing them to mutate. First, they trigger birth defects. Within five or more years, cancer. Organs, often the kidneys, fail.
    At one Basra hospital, leukemia cases in children up to age 14 doubled from 1992 to 1999, says Amy Hagopian, a University of Washington School of Public Health professor. Birth defects also surged, from 37 in 1990 to 254 in 2001, according to a 2005 article in Environmental Health.
    Leukemia—cancer of the blood—develops quickly. Chris Busby, a British chemical physicist, explains: “Blood cells are the most easily damaged by radiation and duplicate rapidly. We’ve known this since Hiroshima.”
    Dai Williams, an independent weapons researcher in Britain, says the dust emits alpha radiation—20 times more damaging than the gamma radiation from nuclear weapons. The military insists the dust is harmless because it can’t penetrate the skin. They ignore that it can be inhaled.

    Father and son ensured that birth defects and they both should have been held accountable.  Poppy Bush is dead so we can consider that both a win and a blessing.  But Bully Boy Bush is alive and he should be held accountable.  He paints cute pictures!  Michelle Obama loves him!  He paints hollow bulls**t that will never pass for art and Michelle Obama was greedy and corrupt long before she became First Lady so find a better testimonial for him.

    While I'm grateful that one less War Criminal walks the earth, that gratitude does not -- and should not -- translate into silence.  Lie after lie has been broadcast non-stop for six or so days now to sell the notion that Poppy Bush was some kind of wonderful.

     George HW Bush was a one term president who committed committed the usual quota of domestic and foreign atrocities. He put the bloodthirsty Dick Cheney, who’d been Gerald Ford’s chief of staff in charge at the Pentagon, and named Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court. He invaded Panama, where US forces commanded by Colin Powell obliterated an entire black neighborhood killing tens of thousands of civilians to prevent inconvenient protests against the occupation. Jimmy Carter had negotiated US bases in Saudi Arabia, and Bush filled them with hundreds of thousands of troops, artillery, armor and aircraft for a planned invasion of Iraq.
    Millions of Iraqis have died since the Bush invasion, millions more have become refugees. Hardly a week has passed from then till now the the US hasn’t bombed some place in that unhappy country. One of Bush’s last acts as a lame duck president in December 1992 was to land a contingent of US Marines in Somalia to keep that country from forming a unified government that might not be to Uncle Sam’s liking. A quarter century later US forces are still in Somalia, backing this or that warlord faction, or the Somali central government whose reach most days doesn’t extend past the capital’s suburbs, sometimes with Rwandan or Ugandan proxies, sometimes with US paid mercenaries, complimented with US special ops forces and drones.

    MSNBC COMEDIAN JOY REID DECLARED ON HER SHOW SUNDAY THAT A PRESIDENTIAL TICKET OF OPRAH WINFREY AND MICHELLE OBAMA COULD NOT WIN BECAUSE OF RACISM.

    THESE REPORTERS MANAGED TO REACH REID BY PHONE OUTSIDE A CHINESE BUFFET.  SHE INSISTED SHE ONLY HAD A FEW MOMENTS TO SPEAK BECAUSE SHE HAD TO GET INTO THE BUFFET -- 16 DIFFERENT NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES HAD TOLD HER THAT WHOMEVER CHANGED HER  BLOG POSTS TO MAKE HER APPEAR HOMOPHOBIC WAS IN THE BUFFET -- NEXT TO THE SPRING ROLLS OR POSSIBLY THE SESAME CHICKEN.

    JOY EXPLAINED SHE DID NOT RAISE THE ISSUE OF LACK OF EXPERIENCE AND NEITHER WOMAN EVER HAVING HELD ELECTED OFFICE BECAUSE IT "DOESN'T MATTER.  AMERICA WILL NEVER ELECT A PERSON OF COLOR PRESIDENT."

    BARACK OBAMA?

    All this time later.


    May 12th, Iraq held national elections.  Ahead of the elections, there had been big hopes -- these hopes included a large turnout.   Ali Jawad (ANADOLU AGENCY) noted, "A total of 24 million Iraqis are eligible to cast their ballots to elect members of parliament, who will in turn elect the Iraqi president and prime minister."  RUDAW added, "Around 7,000 candidates have registered to stand in the May 12 poll, with 329 parliamentary seats up for grabs."  AFP explained that the nearly 7,000 candidates includes 2014 women.  THE SIASAT DAILY added, of the nearly 7,000 candidates, "According to the electoral commission, only 20 percent of the candidates are newcomers." Ali Abdul-Hassan and Sinan Salaheddin (AP) reported, "Iraqi women account for 57 percent of Iraq’s population of over 37 million, according to the U.N. Development Program, and despite government efforts to address gender inequality, the situation for Iraqi women has declined steadily since 2003.  According to the UNDP, one in every 10 Iraqi households is headed by a widow. In recent years, Iraqi women suffered further economic, social and political marginalization due to decades of wars, conflict, violence and sanctions." 


    Six months and counting and no full Cabinet.


    And among the posts not filled?  Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior.

    Hopefully, most grasp the importance of Ministry of Defense.  Most countries have some form of a Defense Department.

    But Minister of the Interior?

    In the US, Ryan Zinke is the Secretary of the Interior and he's responsible for the conservation and management of land and resources.  An important job, no question.  But that's not Iraq's Ministery of the Interior.

    In Iraq, the Minister of the Interior is a security post.  It is equal to the Minister of the Defense.  The Minister of the Interior is, for example, over the federal police, over securing the borders, etc.  Iraq is a country at war.  Don't they need a Minister of the Interior?  Don't they need a Minister of Defense?

    And the election was six months ago.  When are they going to get around to naming Vice Presidents?

    The election was over six months ago.  What's the hold up there?

    It's real easy to pretend that this isn't 2010 and it hasn't taken over eight months to form a government.  But that's not really honest.

    A partial cabinet is not a cabinet.  There are 22 slots and only 14 have been filled.  That's eight vacancies.  Then there are the posts of vice president (Iraq has three) and they're empty.

    Why is anyone pretending that this is (a) normal or (b) a functioning government.

    As we have repeatedly noted since 2006, no prime minister-designate has ever followed the Constitution.  Per the Constitution, Parliament names a President who then names a prime minister-designate.  That part's followed.  That's all that's followed.

    Per the Constitution, after being named prime minister-designate, the prime minister then has 30 days to form a Cabinet.  If the Cabinet is formed, the person moves from prime minister-designate to prime minister.  If not?  The President names someone new prime minister designate. (Due to the wording, a president could probably get away with naming the same person for another 30 days as prime minister-designate.)

    That's the only thing you have to do in order to move from prime minister-designate to prime minister: Form a Cabinet.  It's important because it demonstrate that you can lead.  None of Iraq's past prime ministers -- Nouri al-Maliki twice and Hayder al-Abadi once -- managed to form a Cabinet but were moved from prime minister-designate to prime minister.  And they were failures as leaders -- abject failures.

    Rob Reiner thinks the world needs his input on Speaker of the House

    ROB MEAT HEAD REINER TOOK TIME AWAY FROM PLAYING GAMES WITH YOUNG BOYS TO DECLARE NANCY PELOSI A "STRATEGIC THINKER" AND DEMAND THAT SHE BE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE BECAUSE . . . WELL . . . HE'S JUST THAT PATHETIC.

    GO BACK TO PLAYING WITH LITTLE BOYS, ROB, IT WORKED OUT SO WELL WITH COREY HAIM.  MAYBE YOU CAN DO A MOVIE OR TWO ABOUT JIGSAW JONES?  RICHARD GERE COULD DO A CAMEO IN 'THE CASE OF THE MISSING HAMSTER.'

    For some reason, Michelle Obama's put her name to one.  I was surprised when I read BECOMING that she'd put her name to it -- surprised anyone would.  It's one plodding sentence after another.  I asked a friend at Crown why they couldn't hire her a ghost writer with a gift for prose and was informed that what was supposed to be an inspiring and light read morphed quickly into something else because Michelle had "issues."  Most of the ghost writer's work involved asking her for happy moments and spending forever trying to unearth a few.  Michelle is not happy with her life now or in looking back.

    The book that they spent forever watering down might have made for an interesting read -- whether she named names and dished or not -- but I do understand their fear because, even watered down, this is not a book for a former First Lady of the United States to put her name to.

    Let's talk about First Lady, as a role, first.  The current one is more or less doing a fine job.  It's a ceremonial role, it's pure decoration.  There are women who have held the role who've striven for more.  Certainly, Eleanor Roosevelt expanded the role and the notion of what it could be.  Rosalynn Carter deserves high praise for her term as First Lady in terms of expanding public notions of the role and pulling it into the 20th century.  Hillary Diane Clinton showed up on the stage (Hillary Rodham Clinton was buried mid 1992 by the campaign) and was determined to reject the outdated notions for new ones and deserves praise for shattering so many expectations and stereotypes.

    But if someone wants to carry out the ceremonial role today, that's fine.  Melanie Trump is carrying out that role in the same manner that Nancy Reagan did before her.  If that's what they want, fine.

    I do think we need to expect equality, though.  Meaning for all of Hillary's self-made claims of feminism, it was appalling (and we called her out in real time) that in her 2016 campaign (not in her 2008 campaign, which was a better campaign) she felt the need to repeatedly tell the public that, if elected, she would be president but her spouse (Bill) would not be First Lady under any name (First Dude, whatever).  No, he would not be planning social dinners or . . .  Who was going to do that?  President Hillary Clinton.  She can bomb Libya and select the food and the china it will be served on at a formal dinner all at the same time!

    First Lady is a ceremonial role.  It's all opticals, visuals.  Unless, according to Hillary, a man occupies the role, at which point, we have to rethink everything because, heaven forbid, a man is expected to do the work that a woman has had to do over and over for centuries in this country.

    That's sexist and it was sexist when Hillary was pimping it.  It's appalling that the role that so many women have had to hold -- whether they wanted it or not -- would be changed, according to Hillary -- the minute a man held the role.

    Sexism.

    And the other issue there is the reality that, no, she cannot plan formal dinners and social engagements while carrying out the duties of president.  And it's vile of her to suggest she can.  Most women in the US already work endlessly -- many work a paid job outside the home and then turn around and do a shift in the home (caring for children or relatives, cleaning their homes, making meals, etc).  For her to try to normalize those extra hours is appalling.  She can go 'super woman' it if she wants but that's not helping any woman -- including herself.

    What was Michelle like as a First Lady.

    This might be why she is so hostile and touchy.  She's a smart woman.  She is someone with real skills and, yes, intelligence.

    But the 2008 campaign remade her.  She writes of a meeting with David Axelrod and Valerie Jarrett where they explain to her that she's not winning voters.     Another freakout over Russia from Rob Reiner

    ABC NEWS REPORTS:
     Just weeks after a Soyuz booster failed and a crew was rocketed to safety the Russians are ready to return to manned flight, and Army Lt. Col. Anne McClain will be the first to sit atop that rocket since the accident.
    Officials that investigated the failed October 11th launch from Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan, said they identified part of the reason for the accident that occurred two minutes into the flight, part of the first stage of the rocket had struck the second stage after separating, damaging the booster causing the first Soyuz failure in decades.

    B-B-BUT WHAT WILL ROBERT MUELLER SAY!!!!

    He suffered with Post-Traumatic Syndrome?  But, by all means, let's give Bully Boy Bush an award for his 'work' with veterans -- you know, for killing them and wounding them.  For using them to try to distract from his War Crimes?

    And let's pretend, while we're at it, that the wars themselves don't destroy the Ian Longs.  No, every veteran is not going to end up hurting people.  (Veterans with violence issues traditionally turn the violence on themselves.  Which does explain the high rates of  suicide.)  And there's no need to give rise to a stereotype.  But there's also no reason to deny that these ongoing wars effect a large number of people -- including those who serve in them.

    Now it doesn't effect Bully Boy Bush.  He's still dumber than dirt.  His wallet's a lot thicker but he's still Satan incarnate and, if there's a hell, he'll get to know it quite well.

    But Bully Boy Bush didn't serve in Iraq.  He sent others to serve.  He didn't serve himself.  He was too busy doing other things.  Hence the incomplete National Guard records.

    Bully Boy Bush was happy enough to send men and women into war and he was happy enough to not "do body counts" (a lie, as we found out during the last week of KNIGHT RIDDER", in a Nancy Youssef report).  Now he thinks he can emerge from beneath his rock and accept an award.  The delusions of the entitled.

    Shame on Joe Biden.  I love Joe but I'm appalled and this isn't something I'll forget.  If he gives out that award, I will not support him in a 2020 run.  His presenting that award shows he learned nothing from the Iraq War -- that he voted for.  He's learned nothing.  That makes him worse than Hillary.  Yes, she gave a weak ass apology but it's a hell of a lot better than what Joe Biden's about to do.

    The Iraq War continues and bully Boy Bush is getting an award -- and Joe Biden's handing it to him.
